Church Housing Trust depends totally on voluntary
contributions from individuals, churches, companies
and other concerned organisations.

Your donation can help with the rehabilitation, education and resettlement of homeless people throughout England and make a real difference to the lives of homeless people.

• £20 can provide four homeless people with a small gift of food or toiletries.
• £30 could provide clothes and other essential personal items.
• £50 can help towards the cost of materials, books and fees for training courses that can start someone on the way to employment.

We also help many hostel residents with their resettlement costs so that they do not end up ‘sleeping rough’ in the empty shell of their new home.

• £250 allows them to obtain key items of furniture and kitchen equipment from second hand shops and charity furniture stores.

Funding is urgently required to enable us to continue to help these most vulnerable people from the time they arrive on the hostel’s doorstep, with little to call their own, through their rehabilitation and retraining processes, right up to the time they leave and settle on their own.

Church Housing Trusts funding supports IT training programmes in many of the hostels, helping residents access education, training and where possible, jobs.

Getting married or celebrating a special event?  Why not suggest that instead of people giving you gifts, they donate what they would have spent to Church Housing Trust, where it can be used to help the homeless who do not have so many things that we take for granted. • Encourage members to take part in a sponsored activity on our behalf. e.g. 3 Peaks Challenge, Great North Run, mini marathons
• Raise awareness of the problems of homelessness on Homelessness Sunday
• Arrange for a church collection on Homelessness Sunday
